So what is World of Warcraft?

In its simplest format its a game. In its entirity theres the World of Warcraft Community and then the World of Warcraft Gameplay. It has a huge player base that spans continents, ages and both sexes.

Over the years there have been many role playing games, but nothing compares to the standards set by the World of Warcraft phenomenon, it first appeared in 2004 and the World of Warcraft Gameplay became the biggest and most successful Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game in history to date.

So what is World of Warcraft or WoW as its known, well its a fantasy game where any player can become a character in a world known as Azeroth.

When first starting the game, you have to choose a realm.

Once you have chosen a realm, you get to build a character. In WoW there are two sides, the Horde or the Alliance. The Horde consists of Tauren, Trolls, Orcs, Undead and Blood Elves. The other side the Alliance consists of the Humans, Dranei, Dwarves, Gnomes, and the Night Elves. Once you have picked the type of character you want to be you then give them whats known as a class. They consist of mage, warrior, hunter, paladin, priest, shaman, rogue, warlock, and (after the Wrath of the Litch King expansion) death knights.

Most people will in fact play with more than one character, sometimes a handful of characters. This will allow them to expand their playing range in World of Warcraft.

As you travel through the lands, you will come across other characters or entities, some will have exclamation marks or question marks above their heads. Depending on whether they are Gold or Grey will determmine what you can do.

Gold exclamation = Get a quest
Grey exclamation = come back later when you are at a more advanced level
Gold question  = you have finished a quest and can give them the results
Grey question = you have not completed a quest

As you become more advanced, more and more quests and possibilities open up to you.

World of Warcraft Gameplay is full of strategy, riddles, adventure and battles and introduces you to new online communities and friends.
